Rally Practice Sessions - Maps & Information

We have identified a good location for our Rally Practices. Be sure to check this blog each week for updated Meeting Status (right column). Below are maps and information to get you to the practice location.

NOTE: All dogs must be on leashes at all times for these sessions. This is a legal requirement. We will be working together to put one another through the course, so please be prepared to be available to act as an observer, without your dog, for a classmate during their run through. There is plenty of room for crates to be set up along the perimeter of the course.

See you there!

Whisman Sports Center - MEETING PLACE

We will be meeting at the Whisman Sports Center/Park (map below) in Mountain View.

Here's an aerial view of the practice area, showing parking and our specific meeting place.

It is all paved surfaces, so if you're bringing a crate, wheels are recommended.

Rally Practice with Friends

Attention Bay area Dog Rally-ers!

Many dog training classes are taking breaks now for the winter/holiday season. But if you'd like to get together with other experienced Rally Dog owners for a bit of informal practice, using standard Rally course setups, during the period between November 2009 and February 2010 stay tuned to this blog for dates and times to be announced soon.

These practice sessions are open to anyone wishing to work with their dog in Rally. These sessions are not to be confused with official training, nor are they associated with any dog training organization or club. This is ONLY Rally practice. Other types of obedience are not included as a part of these practices.

Important note: All of the standard rules of dog and owner Good Citizenship will apply during these practice sessions. Dogs will be on leashes at all times in order for us to comply with leash laws. Each owner is responsible for ensuring that his/her dog does not cause any issues for other dogs or people in the area, or in the practice session, and for picking up after your dog. Any dog or owner deemed to be violating these rules of common courtesy will be asked to leave by the organizers of these practices.
